Not for navigation. Not an official source. SimpleAvWx is NOT an FAA-approved source of information for flight planning, navigation, weather, airport, aircraft performance, or any other purpose. Don't rely on it to make flight decisions. Before every flight, get a complete official preflight briefing (for example from 1800wxbrief.com or aviationweather.gov) and use current official charts and publications. As required by 14 CFR 91.103 and 91.3, the pilot in command is responsible for becoming familiar with all available information and for the safety of the flight.

1. Agreement

These terms apply to your use of the SimpleAvWx app and this website. The app is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). 2. About the information in the app

Weather, airport, runway, D-ATIS, RVR, radar, lightning, and forecast information comes from third parties, including NOAA / the National Weather Service, the FAA, Apple Weather, the Iowa Environmental Mesonet, and OurAirports. We pass it along and decode it; we don't create it.
Information may be delayed, incomplete, out of date, wrongly decoded, or unavailable, and may be different from what ATC, an ATIS broadcast, or an official briefing provides.
Decoded text, flight category colors, wind components, density altitude, magnetic headings, and calculator results are computed by the app and are approximations. Check them against official sources and your aircraft's POH/AFM.
The hourly and 10-day outlook is a general forecast from Apple Weather, not an aviation forecast.

3. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the app or our server, for example by scraping, overloading, or reverse-engineering the server, or using it to build a competing data service.

4. No warranty

THE APP, THE WEBSITE, AND ALL INFORMATION THEY PROVIDE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT THEY WILL BE ACCURATE, TIMELY, COMPLETE, OR AVAILABLE.

5. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, Simplifly LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR RELIANCE ON, THE APP, THE WEBSITE, OR ANY INFORMATION THEY PROVIDE, INCLUDING ANY DECISION MADE BEFORE OR DURING A FLIGHT. 6. Third-party services

The app relies on services run by others (listed in our Privacy Policy). They may change or stop, and some features may stop working as a result. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it.

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
