On the map
- Squares are your saved airports, colored by flight category, with wind and temperature.
- Dots are major U.S. airports that aren't in your lists.
- All / Trip at the bottom right shows all your airports or only My Trip.
- The target button at the top jumps to Near Me (needs location permission), United States, or My Airports.
Layers
- Radar — the past 2 hours of radar. Use play/pause, the time slider, and the Slow–Fast speed control. Tap the chevron to show or hide the controls. Choose NWS (MRMS from the National Weather Service) or IEM (NEXRAD mosaic from the Iowa Environmental Mesonet). IEM shows very light returns too, so gray and blue areas can look stormier than they are. The refresh button reloads the latest frames.
- Lightning — flashes from the GOES satellites. Brighter bolts are newer.
- Cell tops — storm cell heights in thousands of feet. They update when you stop the radar loop on a frame.
Tap the key button to show what the symbols and radar colors mean. The bottom bar shows the time of the radar frame and the newest lightning flash.

Airport cards
Tap one of your airports on the map to open a card with its raw METAR and TAF. The chip at the top switches the airport between My Trip and My Airports. Tap Weather to open the full airport screen.

Radar and lightning on the map are for situational awareness only. They can be minutes old and are not a substitute for official weather or ATC advisories.
